A boardwalk that is the perfect launch pad to jump into the water encloses the area. For the young children, there is a large shallow pool with a fountain in the middle.

Take a stroll further up and experience the many restaurants and drinking establishments along the waterfront. There is a scenic hydroplane that gives guided tours over the top of Geelong. This takes off from next to the pier.

One of the best views of the ocean is from atop the beautifully restored Carousel on the pier. While you are wandering, make sure you take some funny photos with the pylons that dot the waterfront. Each one is painted as a different character so choose the one you like the best for a great photo opportunity.
